Explanation

In this optical illusion, you may see the triangles form patterns. We are constantly looking for patterns in what we see. Our mind would rather categorize a bunch of small triangles as a larger triangle than have to deal with identifying each one independently. In so doing, the brain frees up part of itself to look for other things that may be of interest.
